I can’t explain how or when this became one of my family’s favorite go to recipes.  It was an instant hit from the first day it was presented.  I can’t remember if it was Christmas, Easter or just for the heck of it.  But on that day, our noses and mouths actually said out loud, “thank you”!  😉  Believe me, when you get a whiff of this warm and mouth watering goodness your life will forever be changed.  Since that happy day, it became a great go to appetizer for any gathering.  It’s fast, easy, smells fantastic and is super tasty! What makes this recipe so much better you ask?  Mayonnaise! How is this possible?  Traditionally most Artichoke Recipes call for sour cream.  Sour Cream is amazing and has a great robust flavor on its own but is not useful with this particular combination of ingredients. Using mayonnaise instead allows the other ingredients to shine.  The result is a beautiful blend of flavors.  It also holds well together to stuff mushrooms. This is so easy to make and takes only 5 to 6 ingredients depending on your preferences.

Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Preheat Oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix altogether in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Spread in a 9 X 13 Baking Dish.
  4. Bake in the oven for 30 to 45 minutes until brown and bubbly in the center. (I prefer a little longer cooking time to help the flavors meld. For larger batches I have cooked up to almost a hour.)
  5. I serve this with Tostitos Lime Chips! YUMMY!!!
Recipe Notes

An alternative way to serve this: Prepare as listed but omit mushrooms. Use Giant Mushroom Caps without the core and stuff it with the filling. Cook the same as the recipe dictates.

Please let it sit for a few minutes before serving or you will burn your mouth. Trust me...I know!!
